Established in Hong Kong in 1968 as an international airfreight forwarder with a strong base in the electronics industry and transpacific trade, our initial focus was on markets and shippers in South East Asia and the Far East, long before the Pacific Rim became a center of global economic growth.
Organic growth - in services provided, as well as markets and industries served - throughout the last decades of the 20th century saw U-Freight enter the new Millennium with wholly owned offices in 17 countries, over 1,000 employees and a network of exclusive and long-term partners around the globe.
During the 1970s and 80s, we targeted expansion in North America and Europe. Throughout the 1990s, our focus was on China and we became one of the first foreign transportation companies fully licensed to operate a network of wholly owned offices in mainland China with total legal and operational control.
Equally, we've always aimed to be at the cutting edge of technological development and became the first logistics company to offer customers shipment tracking via our website. AFSA, our state-of-the-art systems architecture, supports our varied services providing customers with unprecedented shipment visibility.
From humble origins, U-Freight has established itself as a global leader in providing freight forwarding and logistics services designed to meet our customers' changing needs and helping to facilitate world trade.
While continuing to seek service enhancements and wider market penetration, our current focus is on developing and managing specialized services to meet customers' more complex distribution and logistics requirements. These include on-site management of customer supply chains, encompassing order cycle process analysis and network modeling, as well as cycle-time and cost analysis.
